Mahaffey is somewhat unique in the industry because our staff is composed of full time professionals – not contract workers hired for a single project.  As a result, our workforce retains the experience accumulated from project-to-project and year-to-year.  We've found that full-time employees are dedicated, loyal, and ready to respond when you call.  It isn't unusual to sign a Lease Agreement in the morning, receive wired funds in the afternoon, and have a tractor-trailer & crew dispatched the next morning.  In our industry, the other word for FAST is MAHAFFEY.

Mahaffey crews routinely attend safety orientation classes both in-house and at customer sites.  We maintain a drug-free workplace, as certified by an outside laboratory that conducts random drug screens monthly.  We also adhere to all DOT regulations regarding annual physicals and drug screens for Class A licensees.  Our crews are equipped with the best possible field equipment including cell phones with a built in camera.  Photos are sent instantly via e-mail directly to the headquarters office, or to provide status reports to off-site customer representatives.

Many of our Mahaffey field personnel have international work experience, which is often made easier since we have staff members that are fluent in Spanish and Portuguese.  Several of our Field Supervisors have extensive experience in the U.S. military.  As a group, we've encountered many unusual situations installing structures.  We've worked in Haiti under the protection of machine gun toting guards.  We've waited for structures to be cleared of skunks before we could begin work.  We've been flown by helicopter to remote jobsites when unruly crowds blocked the roads.  And on several occasions, U.S. soldiers in simulated battle conditions have detained our crews to search for improvised explosive devices (IEDs).
